Moxi Laser - Skin Rejuvenation Treatments | Charette Cosmetics

Moxi Laser

The laser world continues to expand and evolve, and if it seems like there is a new device to learn about every few months, that’s because there is. As technologies improve, results get better, and downtime is shortened. The lasers of yesterday are replaced with today’s more innovative, science-backed options. Now we bring you Moxi Laser.

Lasers

Laser treatments can do everything under the sun to improve skin tone and texture.

While some can help increase collagen within the skin, so it’s younger and healthier looking, lasers are often used in tandem with other treatments like fillers and Botox to create a holistic look. But laser treatments offer plenty of skin-friendly benefits. For example, suppose hyperpigmentation, sun damage, and uneven skin tone sit high on your skin issues list. In that case, a light, non-ablative laser may be best for you. And that’s where the Moxi Laser, a newer treatment, comes in.

What is the Moxi Laser?

The Moxi laser is the newest fractionated non-ablative laser that considers all skin tones and types. So whether you’re new to skincare, just starting your journey, or looking for a light skin refresh, the gentle and painless Moxi Laser is the perfect option.

Many different lasers help undo skin damage and rejuvenate the skin, but the Moxi Laser is different. It’s rooted in the idea of prejuvenation and opens up younger patients to the concept of maintaining the health of the skin through light revitalization treatments.

Unlike other more invasive lasers, the Moxi is non-ablative, meaning it doesn’t require much downtime, and you won’t have to take time off work or your routine to recover.

The Moxi laser is a fairly gentle treatment, and you can resume your day directly afterward. Some experts even call the Moxi Laser a beginner or entry-level laser for targeting discoloration and pigmentation. There’s also little to no downtime with a treatment. Plus, it’s affordable, making it an ideal treatment for younger patients to invest in.

The main benefit of the 1927 nm Moxi Laser is brighter, fresher, more renewed, and rejuvenated-looking skin. It also works well for reducing unwanted pigment that can dull your complexion. Unlike other laser devices, Moxi is suitable for all skin tones without worrying about scarring or pigmentation. Even patients with skin tones darker than 4, 5, and 6 on the Fitzpatrick scale benefit from the Moxi Laser. Plus, it can also help lighten stubborn melasma, a skin condition that results in dark patches due to hormonal changes.

The gentle yet effective Laser can treat uneven skin tone, texture, signs of aging, pigmentation, and sun damage on all skin types on both the face and body. It is most frequently used on the neck, chest, hands, arms, legs, and face. It’s often considered a precursor to the Halo Laser.

How does the Moxi Laser Work?

The Moxi Laser uses the 1927nm laser to target water, which means it treats all skin types all year round without social downtime.

The fast treatment—it takes between 12 and 15 minutes to perform—eliminates pigment by creating micro-injuries to the top layer of your skin, stimulating your skin’s natural repair process. The laser also stimulates collagen production and speeds up cell turnover, making your skin look smoother and more refreshed.

A series of three to four treatments are recommended to see the best results, with annual maintenance sessions. But even if you choose for a single session, you’ll see improved signs of aging and more evenly toned and radiant skin after a single treatment. It’s normal for the skin to feel a little rough after the laser and for tiny scabs to form on the skin, which fall off on their own a few days later.

During the treatment, you shouldn’t feel any pain (the area can also be numbed beforehand with topical numbing cream). Still, the skin may feel somewhat hot and tingly after a few passes.

Depending on your skin concerns, there are different levels to select from with the Moxi. The three levels available are:

Level 1

Prevent and
Refresh

Requires four to five passes

Level 2

Revitalize and Maintain

Requires four to five passes

Level 3

Transform and
Renew

Requires six to eight passes

Combining the Moxi Laser with a series of BBL Hero treatments and proper skin care produces a beautiful, youthful glow that you can maintain all year.

Common FAQs

After the laser, it's important to avoid using harsh ingredients like acids. Instead, load up the skin with reparative and nourishing creams and serums to help assist with wound healing. Most patients also find that a gentle moisturizer is also helpful. And, of course, always wear sunscreen daily for protective purposes.

Most patients don't need a numbing anesthetic cream because the Moxi Laser treatment is gentle and light. But it can be applied if you feel it will make the treatment more tolerable.

The Moxi Laser works wonders for treating unwanted pigment in the skin. Specifically, it improves sun damage, melasma, hyperpigmentation, minimal wrinkles, and uneven skin texture and tone.

The Moxi Laser treatments are done over a series of sessions to achieve optimal results. Each session is performed about four weeks apart. As a result, you may see improvements in your skin as soon as five days after treatment.
